Best Quality Power, Inc., is a leader in the Power Quality industry. The company’s management team, has previously represented another manufacturer of surge suppression products. We have 20 years experience in the TVSS industry. We are surge suppression professionals. After you read this statement, you will understand how Best Quality Power, Inc. evolved.

The Company formerly represented was formed just over 25 years ago as a manufacturer of TVSS products. The founder and owner of the company had an idea for a better surge suppressor. He believed he could take the components used in many “single technology” surge suppression devices and combine them, in a unique style, using the best characteristics of each in a synergistic fashion, and make a surge suppression device that would be superior to those already on the market. He did this. Next, he had to consider the protection of the TVSS unit itself. His hybrid TVSS unit was removing surges and transients from the electrical system and was protecting the electrical and electronic equipment. But what was going to protect the TVSS unit itself? He discovered a special electrochemical encapsulation compound that helped absorb the transient energy and extended the life of his TVSS units. A new era in TVSS had begun.

GROWTH
Over the years, the Company grew into a multi-million dollar company. As with most successful companies, it attracted the attention of multi-national companies that commonly target businesses for acquisition. As might be expected, a foreign-based international industrial group purchased the Company several years ago.

PRIORITIES
In the eyes of several long time employees, (some with over 15 years tenure) and others who were involved with the sale and distribution of their products, the focus of the new owner apparently shifted. Prior to the new owner’s involvement, the Company’s mission was the design and production of a quality product that was the leader in the TVSS industry. Today, in the opinion of some, it seems that the new owner is more focused on padding the bottom line.

QUALITY AFFECTED
Corners were cut. Components were changed. The encapsulation compound, long proven to be a factor in the staying power of the Innovative Technology product, was changed. Then, there were unprecedented, catastrophic failures of the product in the field. There were product recalls because of manufacturing errors. There was a feeling among these long time employees and associates that the products being produced under the new ownership did not reflect the quality and performance of the historically proven TVSS units manufactured by the “old” Company.

OPPORTUNITY
Some key players who had been involved in the growth and success of the original Company decided that there had to be a better way. They decided to form a new company that would manufacture a quality TVSS product that would equal or exceed the performance of the product offering that had been the leader in the industry.

The team at Best Quality Power, Inc., located in Farmington Hills, Michigan has been in the Power Quality business since 1986. Our ISO 9003, manufacturing facility is producing TVSS devices that equal or exceed the performance of those produced by the “old” Company. Best Quality Power, Inc.has an expanded “full replacement” product warranty of up to twenty-five years, the best in the industry. This is a strong testament to the reliability of our products.

All of our products are UL1449 Second Edition listed according to their use. Best Quality Power, Inc. is a “full line” surge suppression / harmonic filter manufacturer. Our mission is to provide the highest quality TVSS/Harmonic Cancellation devices possible for today’s and tomorrow’s applications.
